Fall at Conewango

Welcome to Camp Conewango, the Four Season Resort on the north shore of Lake Talon, which is part of the Mattawa River Provincial Park.

Flowerboat

The Camp is surrounded by the natural beauty of Crown Land and has much to offer for the entire family.

There is an abundance of clear lakes and remote wilderness areas to explore. For those who enjoy wildlife: our neighbours include deer, bear, wolf, fox and all the small creatures. You can paddle a canoe or kayak along historic waterways and follow the same route taken by the voyageurs.

For fishing enthusiasts, Lake Talon always has a surprise waiting. From our door you can hike, ride an ATV, or mountain bike on miles of marked trails.

Sunset at dock

In the evening enjoy a campfire with your friends and listen to the loons.

Fallcolours

Autumn is a special time in the Near North.

It is the season of long, golden days and a time of quiet reflection. You will love the bright colours of the trees surrounding Songis Road, the camp and the lake. For the hunter or explorer this is deer country with miles of trails and logging roads which allow you to see wildlife in its natural environment.

Restaurant in winter

In the winter, groomed snowmobile trails are directly accessible from the Camp. Snowshoers and Hikers can also enjoy the peaceful, sparkling landscape. The area is well known for early and late snowfall. Our cottages are fully winterised.

If you are looking to relax have a good time and get away from it all, then look no further…
